Without giving any details, I will presume everyone in this forum will say AU where as everyone on your other thread will say NEU.

Last year my son had the exact same choice. Here is what we came up with for the advantages/concerns of each:

Northeastern
Coop program helps you figure out what you would actually like (son)
Concern that the negative economy might affect coop placement and if you didn’t get the right placement at the right time it could mess up your graduation date (that’s mom talking)
Boston is a great city for college kids
Great new honors dorm
Take 5 years but you have 18 months of experience in the coop program
High rate of being hired by one of your coop employers
Highly ranked school of business
Is a big school and can fall through the cracks of all the procedures and rules (just like any big school - NU has a name for it, I forget what it is)

American
Highly ranked school of business (last year - wasn’t ranked this year) with cool new trading floor
Good internship program, lots of ties to employers in DC, including but not limited to the government
Internship program not as affected by downturn in economy and not crucial to graduation timing
DC is a great city for college kids
Very friendly, accessible faculty
Admiinstration seemed more supportive and flexible than NU (not sure it is true, just a perception)
AU is expanding and investing in their programs - seems to be on the upswing

He chose AU, but money did play a part in this decision - he got a better scholarship from AU than from NU. And the business school deal took him on a personal tour of the new trading floor. He is very happy with his decision.
