American student inscribing directly into Spanish University

<p>Hi:
I'm considering applying directly to a spanish university (I'm thinking Barcelona), for all four years that I'm there. I'm currently in high school, and I'm nearly fluent in Spanish, so that shouldn't be a huge problem, I just don't know where to start with research.
Has anyone here done the same? How´s the admissions proccess/ how can I prepare for the PAU? And what are the differences between Spanish and US universities?</p>
