Do you know of any McGill graduates that have had issues with the acceptance of their degree when they came back to the United States, more specifically when applying to graduate/medical school.

Med Schools care about grades and MCAT scores. A McGill degree certainly wont be an impediment when applying to medschool, provided your grades are up to snuff. As for grad schools, in addition to grades, strong references and undergraduate research experience are key. In that area McGill excels, since it is a large research intense university and there are plenty of opportunities for undergrads in their later years to work in a lab.

As to McGill’s academic reputation in the US, 10% of the student body is american and McGill (along with the University of Toronto) are the only foreign members of the Association of American Universities, which is a group of the largest and most influential research universities in north america.
