OK I did that about an hour ago, but then I was terrified that I wasn’t actually supposed to. I guess that means I’m in!
This is kind of a stupid question, but @clareo, there wouldn’t be any awards listed through the portal if I wasn’t accepted right? lol.
I can’t seem to find anything related to acceptance on that portal, but I was able to find the financial aid award letter!
Under event registration on the portal, "
FRESHMAN DAY & SPRING OFF-CAMPUS ADMITTED STUDENT RECEPTIONS" is listed. Does everyone have that?
I just have “information session…” after directly opening the event registration.
@dogluuuver97 yes! to see an acceptance announcement, try typing in “housing” into the personalized links search bar & click on “Enrollment Agreement & Housing Application.” a window that says something along the lines of “Congratulations, [your name], on your acceptance to American University!” will pop up.
Do people wants acceptance/denial stats in this thread, or no?
@clareo is this for sure? are you certain that this means we’ve been accepted?
So excited! Got a $15k a year scholarship!!! Thanks so much for everyone who suggested trying to make an account- I think it works!
where is the personal link search bar!
@clareo YES! thank you, its official! Accepted
WAIT @dogluuuver97 and @clareo did you two make account thought the admitted students portal? Where are you getting this?
@victorose5 maybe here? https://my.american.edu/apps/tech/accountCreation/createAccount.cfm
How do we make an account on the student portal without an AU 7 digit code?
Where do we find this?
@victorose5 yes. at myau.american.edu ! the prospective student portal won’t give you this information.
ok thank you! You don’t think anything bad could result from our using the portal before receiving letters, do you?
If you look at the bottom of the email that we were all sent saying that decisions would be mailed out this week, there should be a personalized AU ID below the message. Go to myau.american.edu and create a new student account using this ID number and your personal information. If it allows you to create an account, that has signified in years past that you were accepted. You can then look through the “Finances” section of your account and find your financial aid award. Hope that helps!
How do you make an account?
The AU Admissions Tumblr says it is the same 7 digit code as your application portal code?
Is this a guarantee that you did or did not get in?
