Amherst College 2021 RD Discussion Thread

“The Amherst College Office of Admission expects to release admission decisions for Regular Decision applicants late in the day on Friday, March 24.”

Confirmed, March 24!

X_X :-SS :-SS :-SS

I love the “Late in the Day” which can mean virtually any time of the afternoon, as it depends on how you define Day. Good luck to all, 2 more days

the tension intensifies

I’m so nervous! :-SS Goodluck everyone!

I know I’m not gonna get in as I have been rejected or waitlisted at every college with an acceptance % <20% so far, but I still have a flicker of hope…

Same, I hope Amherst sees I do want to attend. Looking back though I should have reached out to them with questions and also answered prompt A.

I’ve just realised that I haven’t submitted the tax forms for my parents to apply for financial aid. Does this mean that my application won’t have been considered?

It shouldn’t - it should only impact financial aid, and even then my friend did the same thing and he still got a financial aid package, he just had to submit the tax forms for it to be finalized.

What time (EST) did decisions come out last year?

For ED they came out around 4 EST I believe

Do they all come out at once?

Yep!

I’ve been waitlisted at Middlebury and Williams… not expecting much

Rejected 4 times in the last week - could use some good news.

What are y’all stats?

1370 SAT (which is my biggest weakness imo) 3.8 UW/4.3 W GPA, most rigorous course load possible, but I’ve moved around a lot (currently on my 3rd high school) so I haven’t been able to take advantage of all the opportunities at my current school. You?

@sjmain lol same!!!

31 act 3.7 gpa but a lot of ec’s
