Yes, like me. Good to see a fellow immigrant winning big time (Williams).
You are absolutely correct about knocking on the doors. I just didn’t realize they were so flexible despite the strict facade, so I didn’t waste time. I have very little of this ephemeral essence (time) as it is—working several jobs, studying full-time, dealing with an injury and severe financial problems, and supporting a relative is taking all my time. I don’t really have anyone to fall back on, or even ask for an advice. I’m on my own, and I don’t know what I don’t know.
I’m very happy for you though!
It must feel like a dream to get admitted to a school of that caliber (essentially, a Harvard of LACs).
Are you gonna accept Williams unequivocally, or did you apply to and going to wait for any other schools that you may choose over Williams?
@OwlOfAthena I completely understand your bind with time… but things will be okay!! And honestly, I don’t think anywhere will be able to compete with Williams in my mind, but visiting next week will officially determine that. I have a really strong feeling that I’m going to be accepting their offer of admission, which is wild to be able to say or even think
@OwlOfAthena I am totally in love with Williams but my husband is also transferring (also accepted to Williams) and our daughter needs to be happy with the relocation too so it is a family decision for us. We will probably wait for all decisions to come in before making our choice because we have to decide together. We applied to nine colleges, so far three have come back with acceptances and offers and we are really grateful to have the choice to make.
@glassturtle I hope we get to meet while on campus! I totally understand how you’re feeling about Williams, I just adore them.
@RainbowBritey that’s amazing!! I wish your family the best of luck in this decision-making process!! It’s wonderful that you have such great options. Will you all be attending Previews?? I have a feeling admissions will make some time for prospective transfers (and probably current transfers) to meet, so we will likely see each other. This is too exciting. Do you know how many transfers were admitted this year?
California community college student applying to Amherst!
I was rejected from Williams and Barnard so I don’t have high hopes for Amherst. Good luck to you all!
Hey y’all! Does anyone know when decisions are coming out? Do they typically wait all the way till May 15th? also, does anyone wanna chance me?
