AMHERST? My chances?

<p>Okay so I am applying ED to Amherst here are my stats:</p>

<p>From a small town in rural Minnesota.
High School only offers 5 AP classes (I've taken 4)
parent is a single mother- refugee from Ethiopia
Annual income less then $10,000
GPA-3.89 grades not weighted at my school =(
ACT-25
Literature Subject Test- 650
My reading on the ACT- 31
QuestBridge NCM Finalist</p>

Invited to intern with State Farm's NYLC Team this summer.

<p>I want to double major in economics, political science and specialize in educational policy.
Goal in life is to reform U.S education system-join Americorp, peace corp, and meet Geoffrey Canada.</p>

<p>I think your chance is good. Though your scores are a little low, they are just numbers sometimes especially for the liberal arts schools like Amherst, though still important. You can compensate for these scores by getting good recs and writing good essays.
