Amherst Transfer Applicant---Chance me!!!!

I am planning to apply to Amherst for the Spring 2015 semester, in which I will be in junior standing. I lack a HS diploma; I have a GED. Currently enrolled in a community college where my GPA is currently 3.953. Here are my stats:

Borough of Manhattan Community College
GPA- 3.95
Intended Major- Political Science with a focus in International Relations
Currently have 53 credits completed, and will have completed 68 credits when the time comes to transfer
Strong Essays
Strong recommendations- one from my political science professor who is an Amherst graduate, one from my Italian professor who attended Smith (one of the Five Colleges), and my Econ professor is writing me one as well.
Member of Phi Theta Kappa
Dean's List recipient
Extracurriculars- Volunteered in soup kitchens while on vacation, and visited the sick and elderly in hospitals.

I don’t know how current the statistics I saw were, but they showed Amherst accepting only 18 transfers. You might have a chance, but the odds are not very good. Is it safe to presume you are looking elsewhere?

I am going to apply to Bard College, NYU, and CUNY Hunter

Amherst loves community college students. No point in chancing you, though, as transfer admission is incredibly competitive.
