Pratt! For sure.

They have a creative writing major as well, and a reputation for good liberal arts overall.

Pratt would certainly be a fit. But would you be willing to consider broad universities that have strong art schools in them? At a school like that, you could major in art and do work in art at a high level, have a well respected art degree, and also be able to take all the writing and liberal arts classes you’d like and could fit in your schedule.

Another option is to go to a pure art school, but one that has a strong relationship with a full university - such as RISD and Brown. You can easily take classes at Brown, if you go to RISD. You can even do a dual degree - a BFA in art from RISD, and a BA in writing from Brown, if you want to.

If you’re interested in programs like that, consider the following schools in the Northeast, including NYC metro:

As a side note, Parsons, in NYC, is part of the New School University. Although you can, technically, take classes via the New School, people at Parsons rarely do, so I didn’t list them. But it is an option.

RISD’s English class flew over my head, dunno if that counts for anything.

Saying you’re into writing is kind of like saying you’re into art, we still don’t know if you like journalism, fiction, or what.

A “passion for writing” makes me wonder why Sarah Lawrence isn’t on your list? You’ll write your butt off there. Nice brand-new art facility, too.
