So I got into Dartmouth. I was torn between that and a different school, and I ended up turning down the big green. Now, in my Sophomore year of college, I am applying for transfer to Dartmouth. Since I was previously accepted there, does anyone know if this will hurt/help my chances transferring?

will only help if you can make it clear that you realize D was it.
But doesn't mean your grades can be subpar. College GPA = transfer admissions.

It should certainly help in that Dartmouth saw your merits in the past! With good performance in college no reason they shouldn't see them again!
