An odd problem...

I did the January SAT I, which was (as you probably all know) the last sitting for that grand old version of the test.

That was the earliest possible date for me to do that test.

Many places require the SAT II Writing exam, which is ofcourse no longer available. How do I fair with this? I really don't feel like sitting the test again.

Will anyone care about this or will I be forced to ignore all colleges that require the Writing SAT II when applying?

Email or talk to an admissions counselor at the school's you're interested in. Each school will probably have a slightly different policy in this transition year. Some colleges will want you to take the new SAT so that you can get a writing score, but may still use your old M and V scores (if they're higher). Others might possibly waive that requirement and ask for something else instead. You're best bet is to ask the colleges themselves.
