An Offer to Help Students Applying to Duke

<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I’m a current Duke senior with experience working in the Admissions Office as well as sitting on the interviewing committee for a major Duke merit scholarship. This site helped me a lot when I was applying to Duke, so I’m looking to give something back, and am currently offering free strategy consultations for those applying to Duke or just interested in applying to Duke. You can send me your resume (without your name, if you would like), and I am willing set up a 30 minute Skype session to plan the strategy behind your application to Duke next year. Every year Duke gets even more ridiculously tough to get into, so you will probably need all the help you can get. </p>

<p>You’re probably asking “What’s in it for him?”. Three things. First, I’m looking to give back to this site, which was a key part of my success. Second, I’m planning on starting my own admissions consulting company, so this will be valuable experience to build up my company. Third, I just enjoy talking about Duke and urging people to apply.</p>

<p>To give you some background on myself, I went to a large public high school in DC. When I applied to colleges, I received admission to Harvard, Yale, Vanderbilt, etc, but ultimately chose Duke because of the combination of the full scholarship and fit. <p>I’ve also already finished the application process, but I was just wondering if you’d mind sharing what scholarship you received from Duke and if you remember when you were notified about it? I know the chances are so slim, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for one, haha. Thanks!</p>
