I'm bored right now (hence the Vandy colors and all of the squares), so I thought about starting a stats thread like a lot of the other individual school boards have. But I hate to be the person who reinforces the whole "we are only numbers to colleges" thing... So this is more to deal with the tingly excitement as the mailman brings you your college decisions and you find out the results after all these months of wondering.

And since I like to experiment with the colors...

Decision: Accepted
Chances of attending: Likely
I received my admissions letter from Vandy today (local). It's my first choice, and the finances seem doable at this point, so I hope to attend this fall. I'm excited! (I'm waiting for second thoughts to come pouring in, though.. I tend to overanalyze when it comes to big decisions like this)

Remove the spaces in the codes and fill in the blanks, and add yourself to the thread (swiped from other boards).

Decision: Accepted
Chances of attending, if accepted: Very Likely

I already knew I was getting in today, since I got a Full Tuition Scholarship and was notified of it earlier...but it was still very exciting to get the whole packet of information! :)

Decision:Accepted
Chances of attending, if accepted:Likely, just waiting on USC

Seeing the package in the mailbox was the most exciting thing ever! Especially since I had convinced myself I hadn't gotten in, because my friend got in yesterday. SO exciting!

Writing about my daughter because I love the colors and always wanted to do one of these roster things:

Decision: Accepted!

Chances of attending: Really good! She was offered a 3/4 tuition Dean's Select Scholarship in Arts & Science, to her complete shock. She wasn't one of the people invited to a scholarship weekend, and figured the chances for a big merit scholarship were gone. She's choosing between UVA (Echols), where we can just barely afford the out of state tuition, and Vanderbilt, which would be significantly less. She's looking at both schools again early next week.

Not that he's putting any pressure on, but her dad asked her to bring him a Vandy baseball cap. Says he doesn't want anything from UVA.

*Decision: Accepted! *
Chances of attending, if accepted: Definately going!

I definately thought that Vandy (school of engineering) was out of the picture after I was waitlisted at BC, but by some miracle of God I was accepted! With a HUGE fin. aid package too...ahhhh i cant wait! Congrats to everyone!

I was waitlisted after being almost certain of admission. I thought I had good essays, and coupled with my 4.1 GPA, top 10% of a private school, and 33 composite ACT score, I was obviously anxious but confident. I want to call and ask why I wasn't accepted but don't want to see desperate or flood them on the day after they sent out letters. Vandy is by far my number one choice and I just hope I'm one of the ones who gets bumped up!

No, it comes via USPS, but in a priority mail package. You know, one of those red, white, and blue envelopes. So you can expect it to be in your mailbox.
