Analysis of the 2012 US News and WR Rankings + Rivalry's Benefits

<p>Have to give props to Auburn’s OIRA Dept. They are much more productive and up to date than UA’s. </p>

<p>Anyway, if you go to the last page of this pdf document linked above, you will see that UA had the highest percentage of solicited undergraduate alumni who gave to their institution. Guess who was number two? Auburn! Last year, Auburn was first, and UA second. Who says this rivalry is destructive? Looks to me like the rivalry is pushing both schools to do better.</p>

<p>I should probably clarify that the UA OIRA and the Auburn OIRA have nothing to do with the education of students at either school. They are just divisions within each school responsible for collecting data on students. Thus, I did not mean to imply anything about UA academics relative to Auburn.</p>

<p>I don’t know why Bama has had delays for the past 12 months with their reports. </p>

<p>That said, this info regarding the incoming frosh class came out rather quickly.</p>

<p>I still would like to see the state by state breakdown.</p>
