And what about Harvard?

<p>quick background..</p>

<p>early graduate from high school, perfect grades, perfect scores, first in family to ever graduate high school, single parent household, native american that actually speaks native language, lives on reservation. mom works as a secretary at our health service clinic. i took three years off between high school and college to gain work experience. i didn't really want to go to college for family/cultural reasons. i've had numerous internships with california state leg./ mooretown rancheria government offices. a few years ago, i applied to many colleges, accepted to all of them- including harvard. made the best decision of my life by picking brown over harvard, gasp. i've been here at brown for two years gaining insights in the strange world of high class living, etc. i've taken advanced classes in biochemistry, math, russian, greek, etc. five classes, sometimes six. all for grades...</p>

Current Concentration: Biochemistry/ Math-Econ
AIDS research published, published papers on native american issues, book being published on language preservation</p>

<p>Initiated Native American Language Preservation Project, *$250,000 awarded from department of education grant for five year project.<br>
attended numerous conferences, flown all over nation
(breath of life, languge and poverty, etc.) +3000 hours </p>

<p>internships: washington d.c., senate com on indian affairs, FBIA, IHS
languages: russian, greek, spanish, english, maidu
marching band/ russian club/AISES
in the end, i'll end up back in my hometown working with my tribal government, hopefully dealing with gaming and the feds. ideally, harvard would provide networking, challange, change, strong connection with native law students/med students/ etc....</p>
