I got a special message from Andover telling me about the sports and music that I mentioned at my interview. Do they do this to all students, or is it only to a special selection of people? Is it a signal that I may have a higher chance?
Just legitimately curious because Andover is a school that I want to get into the most.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up. A good sign was when the school put my student in touch with teachers to talk about writing opportunities and when Exeter asked her what position she played in field hockey. It was common from all schools to get information afterward about things talked about in the interview.
Don’t read into it too much- it’s standard at some schools. I talked about some things such as specific sports and arts in my interviews and would get emails from the coaches or departments but that’s standard.
I believe that it’s standard procedure at Andover, as everyone else has said. I recently got an email from them as well, shortly after my interview about the interests I mentioned. Hope this helps!
