Andover waitlist letter (7/9/08)

<p>I apologize if this is redundant to another post. I didn't see this posted anywhere else, though admittedly I did only a quick search. I thought it might be of interest to anyone who is waiting for a last minute Andover acceptance from the WL.</p>

<p>D received this letter from Andover dated 7/9:</p>

<p>"I know that you have been awaiting news from Andover and I appreciate your patience. Though we continue to want to offer you a place at PA, we wanted to let you know that, at this point, we remain overenrolled. In fact we have not yet been able to admit anyone from the waiting list, and it appears that we may not have any openings for this fall. We will continue to keep the waiting list active, in case an unexpected opening occurs..."</p>

<p>Interestingly D let them know in April she wished to withdraw from the WL both by phone and by postcard.</p>

<p>yes, my s received the exact same letter and he had already withdrawn his place as well. Curious.</p>
