I keep researching deeply regarding what I want to major in.

It used to be a list of over 10+ categories/majors but I have narrowed it down to 2.

Working with Children or Animals.

I have a passion for both and have also worked in both environments.

Although, kids used to be my top choice... I actually started
volunteering at an animal shelter and fell in love :)

I cannot believe how happy it makes me feel just to wake up at 6:30 AM
to see the dogs and clean their poop and kennels.

I do not do the fun stuff where I get to play with dogs but even cleaning
their kennels and seeing them through the gates makes me happy.

I have always wanted to become a Vet as my first choice as a kid but
I do not want to go into the Medical field.

I am not so sure about research/science field either but when I think about it-
I actually love learning new things everyday and someday plan on getting
a Ph.D, depending on what I major in.

Now, I pushed aside my passion for animals because I thought the only thing
you could possibly earn a decent living out of was being a Vet.

I learned about Animal Behavior as a major and even Animal-Assisted Therapist
as a career which sounds kind of interesting!

Here are my choices that I am looking at as a career:

Animal Behaviorist (eventually teach at a U or something)

Wildlife Rehabilitator (need to look more into that career)

Animal-Assisted Therapist (would love to help people through animals)

Those are my top 3 I have chosen briefly.

Now, here is the biggest problem of them all in choosing the right major
for myself.

I haven't taken a science class in over 3 years, therefore I can't recall if I
was just BAD at science or if I did not like science at all.

I will be taking a science course hopefully within the Fall semester but until
then, I have some pondering to do, about my future career.

Is it possible, well I know anything is possible, but is it going to be too much
if I go into a science major if I am bad or dislike science?

I mean if I think about it, I like the idea of science, it's just that sometimes
I don't understand it.

And I do know for a fact, I can always have someone help me by tutoring or
getting help from friends and family.

Should I pursue this major/career even if it will be a bumpy path for me?

BTW, if anyone has information or previous experiences with majoring in an
Animal Behavior related field, please share your details:D
