I’m currently a junior in high school. For most of my life, I’ve always wanted to be a veterinarian. However, now that I’m older and realize that it isn’t great financially speaking, I’m putting that dream on hold for a bit. I know jobs aren’t all about money, but I’d really like to enjoy my life and not be working 24/7 after 10 years of extra schooling just to be making $80,000 a year only and never enjoying life. So here are some other options:
- Dentistry (exploring the specialities in the field, also)
- psych
- equine science
- wildlife biology
- marketing/business management (I would loveee to own my own pet kennel or horse farm. Not only is this a passion but I heard it makes good money and once you get started, it is a really great life.)
- and of course, pre-vet/bio
Basically what I’m asking is what you think the best major is financially, being able to live a full life while I’m still young, etc.
obviously a job isn’t about the money, again, but it is a big aspect of it. I definitely have a passion for animals. I’m poor at math though haha.
Also, I’m aware that you cannot choose my major for me, maybe I sound ignorant or whatever asking this, but I’d just really love some assistance.
