As many of you know, I vastly enjoy offering tips and advice as well as pointing out the hasty generalizations of others on this board. I have spent a lot of time perusing the board and looking for answers on the Internet to various questions.

Now, just a few days before the UC applications are due, it is time for me to take a break. College Confidential has become my #1 tool of procrastination. So, I respectfully take a leave of absence from the board. I will return when I have actually finished a complete rough draft of the personal statement.

Yah, you shouldn't waste so much time trying to prove you're always right. This is what you get for acting so arrogant. I hope you miss the deadline btw...

"He probably won't have enough time to get other people to check it = rejection."

It doesn't take long for a person to revise a paper--even if it requires numerous revisions. I should think it wouldn't take too terribly long to obtain a person to revise his personal statements even if he lived alone in the mountains, away from civilization.

But if that were true, that's what internet--and this forum--is for.

This is what you get for acting so arrogant. I hope you miss the deadline": I have never seen someone post something so patently mean-spirited on these boards. Not only do you present yourself as a jerk, but you also dispense poor advice.

I thought this was to be a forum open to discussion but apparently its turned into a place to attack those with different views...Horrible...

Open discussion and attacking people with the vehemence you've shown are two different things altogether.
