Hey! I just signed up for this website an hour ago so I don’t know if I’m doing this right, but I thought I would start a place for people to share if/when they hear back about their ANNpower applications for June 2016!
Hey, I also applied to ANNpower. Do you know when the responses come out? I’m so excited to hear back from them!
I’m really excited too! (Also nervous!) I heard we can expect responses anytime in April, but I think people in past years have heard around the end of April.
Last year they sent out rejection emails April 22nd, and acceptances were sent out the week before. I think they wait to hear if any of the accepted students cannot participate before they reject people since they don’t have a waitlist.
This program supposedly has a 5% acceptance rate. Also they are looking for a diversity of projects and fellows, and many of this years fellows already had a well established project before they applied. My fingers are still crossed though!
@kitkat231 How do you know some of the fellows already have well established programs?
@ThatCaliGirl I was reading the AnnPower website, and noticed that some, not all, of the fellows and grantees already has established projects that they wished to expand upon. I applied also! I emailed ANNpower asking when the decisions come out and they told me April 22nd . They said they would contact us through email. Best of luck!

Has anyone heard anything yet? Annpower said decisions are coming out on the 22nd, but didn’t they send their acceptances out a week before rejections last year? Good luck everyone!
It’s so nerve-wracking to know that they might be sending out acceptances tomorrow! If I don’t get accepted, I’ll definitely apply again next year (I’m a sophomore).
@JulianaK Ahh! I know right! I’m so nervous! I’m also a sophomore and you know, even if I get rejected, I will still probably work to build my project idea!
Have you guys heard anything?? I’ve been frantically checking my email all day, but I have yet to hear anything.
I emailed them yesterday to update my application, and the email stated that decisions will be sent out April 22nd. Fingers crossed!
Oh my gosh! I can’t wait until decisions come out! I need it to be the 22nd!
I just heard that fellows will not be announced until early May because there is an overwhelming number of applicants this year! I was so eager for it to be Friday, and now we have to wait a few more weeks!!
