Another Asian guy trying to get somewhere

Aha!!! You Gus Were Right... Hes A Fake!!!

That's nice. Even if its fake, the responses he's getting are the same that anyone else would be getting. No ones like HOLY , and no ones like * you suck. Dont see why he would just look at a regular chances thread, where the same reactions would be given.

Laugh at that, beotch.

not all of a sudden... i wondered how i would fare if i revived an old post, so i went to the last page, picked on and made a comment
and it has all spawned from that. the kid probably hasnt come online for a while... he should be surprised, for a month no one responded to him, no one ever did until i did today

you really have a mouth on u, jeeze... and since ur sooo knowledgeable about average SAT scores for every ivy that exists under the sun you might want to know of a friend of mine who got a 1300 on her SATs and got a hefty scholarship from Harvard --- and then you might want to know about my friend who got a perfect 1600 and ended up at Binghamton ... she was rejected at every ivy....explain that one

bad karma .

mattyb, who are u talking to?
and umm... ifshe got a "hefty" scholarship from harvard, it wasnt for merit, it was need based, so the whole sat thing is crap.

I have noticing alot of 1500s-160s getting rejected this year. i Thus we can see that poor standardized test scores will harm you only a little provided that that the other aspects of the college application is remarkable.

Remember, colleges do not want to label applicants beased on numbers.

Suddenly I can't have friends beause I don't have a lunch? Man, you're an idiot. Don't judge me on my school schedule. I have a weekend to do things. And I didn't get a lot of the stuff I posted as hopefuls. I just lost the NHS elections and, although I got 1st at Region Biology 5A, I didn't get anything at State UIL. Also, I realize the SATs don't have that much an effect on the admissions- if anything, they only check that you're intelligent and capable enough to go to the college, and then basically toss the scores over their shoulders. By the way, why do you guys think this thread is fake? It's not! Should I try to prove any of this? Man, to think that I would get so many bitter responses. Let's see, what else... I happen to like my church a lot, so don't give me anything about not being passionate where I volunteer. I also took sciences during my lunch, and hopefully that reflects my commitment to the subjects I like best. If you got any other objections, post again and I'll try to get back in time to make sure that everybody doesn't think this is a fake.

I actually do most of my extracuriculars during the weekend.

Right, but I'm sure you still find the time to hang out with your friends.

Yeah during lunch in school. lol

By the way, Cryptic Fate, now that I'm back from church-

You guys all responded to Crumflake's criticism within hours of each other after a MONTH of silence to my original post. I really didn't have the time to reply to your calling me a "troll", since I was at Austin waiting for State UIL. If anyone else wants to test the validity of my original post, try me.

The test scores are good, but the GPA makes me scratch my head.

I didn't mean that you don't have passion in your church band, I was just saying that participation in a church band doesn't qualify as "community service" the same way volunteering at a soup kitchen does.

I'm hoping that the upward curve of my grades will help. I met a guy who had C's freshmen year, B's sophomore and junior year, and straight A's senior year, and yet got into MIT. All of us at the consulting session were wondering how, but it's definitely true.

I can definitely see what you mean by not counting the church hours as creditable as the soup kitchen. Hopefully, the colleges will still recognize that being part of that is still a commitment that I make on weekends, and as long as they know that the church isn't my only outlet for community service and that my record and essays show that I am a volunteer in the true sense of the word, I think they could see the church as volunteering.

Yeah, I'm just saying that because I ushered and altar served at my church and didn't put it under community service. I put it under the standard extra-curriculars on my resume (no space for it on the app itself).

yeah guys... i didnt think this post looked fake... I mean that alaska guy was a GIVEN cuz it was so weird... like why would anybody take SAT math IIC and IC? I know SOME do, but it's still weird (no offense) to those that DO... it totally doesnt count as 2 SATIIs for taking those 2 math, but anyways

its not like he's TOO perfect.. its kinda fake if u say u are president of 50 clubs, got an 800 on every single SAT IIs, and a 5 on EVERY SINGLE AP there was.. but i mean, even 15 APs are believable... hey I have 12

Yeah, I saw that post. That was pretty funny, but my stats aren't anywhere near that outrageous. They're not even that good... why would someone think they're fake? I tried for some originality in my highschool... oh well.

Someone thought it was fake because of ur low number of posts and because you didnt respond quickly.

Well, the low number posts I can understand, but the response time? People, you gave me two days! Come on...

Have I at least made it clear that I am NOT a "troll"?

yes you have, relax, buddy.

the "angry" part of ur sn, isnt a lie, is it.
