Chances?

UCSD (Nanoengineering (Chemical Engineering) Revelle)
UCB (applied CoC Chemistry BS)
UCLA (Applied Chemical Engineering HSCoE)
UCD (same as UCSB)
UCSB (sent me a letter that I'm admitted ELC)
UCI

I would say all are at least match, if not low match. You have extremely good grades, you are URM and also great chances for aid!

You “look” great! I predict you will be fine with all but UCB , and UCLA, regardless of race. But without “first gen”, at UCLA, and maybe also UCB, race doesn’t seem to matter much with UC’s. An overcoming adversity essay helps.

@Boldyreff1 Thank you!!!

@ Shrinkrap thank you…I failed to mention I am first generation (dad high school in austria, mom high school in peru)…does that change anything…would Cal and UCLA be impossible-false-hope reaches, or just probable reaches?

“would Cal and UCLA be impossible-false-hope reaches,”

No. Still at least 50:50. Probably WAY better. Relax and enjoy!

Did you make National Hispanic Scholar? I’ve seen kids with lower than average stats get in with the designation.

You look good anyway!

In at all except UCB and UCLA, see below.
UCB—80% chance (engineering is tough though, in not then Letters and Science)
UCLA–same as above, except engineering is not as tough.
Apply to some good privates too, because you’ll most likely get in. Good luck :)

I think all are a match :]

and well, in my opinion, ucb and ucla are reaches for usually anybody. :]

chance me for uc’s, anybody [be brutal]

You are a match for all of the UC’s, except for Berkeley and LA which are High Matches (but you’ll probably get in).

Match for all UCs :)
