Not to sound mean, but did you have a bad day on the SAT? You have good grades, class rank, and academic extracurriculars, it’s just kind of suprising that you didn’t get at least in the 2000’s on it. I’d say study up for the SAT in December and try to raise your score (search for tips and try to memorize a lot of vocab words for CR, make sure you know your grammar rules and search “SAT 12 Essay In 10 Days” on this site for Writing, study math concepts from up to and including Algebra II for Math, and take a bunch of practice SAT’s to practice and get a better feel for the timing of the test and stuff). I’d say your SAT is your application’s only real weak point, if you can get at least 2100 on the SAT (but preferably 2200s or better) than your chances at places like MIT will go up significantly. Good luck.

Thanks for the comment and the comment wasn’t mean at all so no worries. Negative and positive feedback, thoughts, and questions are all welcome. On my testing day I just tired. I was doing the “nod” and will admit that I did feel the pinch of time on more than a few sections. I’m trying right now to get my score up and by next week, should be signed up for the December exam. My free time is pretty low but I am trying to, at least an hour a day, use practice books to try to better the score.

An hour a day will me more than enough. I raised my score 150 points in 5 weeks just by doing 1-2 sections of practice SATs per day. And then the week before I took 2 full tests.

Sounds great. Hopefully i can get it to at least a 2000 or even a 2100.
Anymore thought or comments anyone?
