Don't worry, I'm not taking it too seriously...just getting some energy out :)

GPA: 3.9 UW with the regular load of AP/honors classes that you'd expect
Rank: Top 10% - just outside of top 5%, who generally attend a handful of Ivies (usually one Harvard, one Princeton, one Columbia, one Yale, a few Cornells - you get the drift) and equivalents (Stanford, MIT).
SAT: 2280 (800 CR, 700 M, 780 W)
ECS: 4 yrs marching band and jazz band, 2 yrs involvement in a smaller jazz group focusing on improvisation/playing in the community in addition to regular marching band and jazz band; 2 yrs cross country; also a gymnast since I was a kid, compete outside of school (nothing like a national title, mostly just for fun, but this does take up my weekends). I've also done some things in the community on the side, like writing for a community paper one summer, doing a leadership/community service program in the community another summer, also working a job most summers as well.
SAT IIs: Hm, not that hot, I didn't study a lick for them and I really should have. 770 Lit, but then 600s in US history and Bio. I think I will send in AP scores instead. I got 5s on Lang and Lit, 5 on bio, 5 in US history, 4 in government.
Recs: should be good
Essays: Well, I am a writer, if you couldn't tell from my scores :p

I guess what hurts me is that while I did a lot of extracurriculars...usually busy until 8pm every night...I wasn't a star per se in any of them. I was good at everything, but it's not like I won any national or even state awards or titles. Jack of all trades if you will.
