White Male at fairly competitive high school

GPA: 4.57
UW GPA: 3.9
Rank: 4 of 512

SAT 1:2000 (yea, long story about the lame score, plan on gettin it to at least 2100 in october for the retake...)

SAT 2:
Math 2 C: 690
US History: 710 (yea, test-taking is my weak point, if you haven't noticed :))

AP tests:
US History: 5
Calculus: 4
Art History: 4
European History: 4

Recs: good one from AP Calculus teacher (learned a ton in that class, I care more about learning for fun in a class than what a test dictates you should learn...which will probably hurt me a lot, hehe), really good one from English teacher, good one from history teacher
Extracurriculars:

-FBLA 9-12 (Treasurer). Very involved in this club, won lots of regional awards, helped with some fundraisers, etc.
-Cross-Country 9-11 (few awards there)
-Track 9-10 (got 3rd place on 800 in regionals...felt really good that day)
-Key Club 10th grade-Vice President (did lots of planning for volunteer activities, only about 20 hours of working at the activities, but lots more in planning, initiating the projects, etc)
-Plan on taking crew 12th grade (REALLY got into this during the summer...should I even put this on there?)

The rest of my extracurriculars are....unorthodox, to say the least. Might help, might not...

-Going to intern this year at a startup biotech firm. Really excited to do this, since biotechs can be extremely successful if the business structure is firm and the product is approved by the FDA.

-MMORPG currency-selling business 9-10th grade (started arbitraging fluctuating prices in The Matrix Online, then moved on to World of Warcraft...best. idea. ever. BTW, if you have any questions on how to get into this business short of hiring chinese laborers, dont hesitate to contact me :)

-Second Life business-short-lived, thanks to the banking problems they're having right now...

-Tons of other oddjob business ordeals....arbitraged wiis back when they were big, and got a few grand for that...amazon and ebay accounts for lots of items, made a few grand there too...

Basically, my passion is arbitrage (value) investing. Looking into areas of potential value and investing in them. It's why I trust BRKB with a large portion of my earned money (Warren Buffett=god). I'll be sure to note this passion on at least one of my essays for each college, maybe throw in a few of the more interesting value investing theories I've tested out...

Essays should be good. I tend to do well creatively. I'll try to work more on mechanics of the language while typing my essay, since I have the essence of my essay planned out. You can probably tell my, uh, lack of writing mechanic knowledge here :D

And, as would be obvious, I plan on applying to undergrad business schools, or schools that have some kind of strong finance/business course load.

Reaches (yea, maybe too high)
-Stanford (dad went here, so alumni status will help a bit)
-Wharton
-Wash U. in St Louis
-Columbia
-U of Mich Ann Arbor
-U of Chicago

Matches
-UCLA (would actually REALLY like to go to this school, far and away my favorite match/reach school)
-USC
-Maybe UC San Diego, need to check into that school for business program strength though

Safeties:
-UC Davis
-UC Santa Barbara

I'll probably update my college list during the year, but this reflects the main body of schools I'm interested in.

Writers note: I think my weakest points are my test scores (try to get 700's on SAT II's and 2100-2200 on SAT I) and my shortage of 999999 hours of volunteer work/saving an African country from devastation. But I may be wrong, which is why ANY feedback is appreciated on how I should go about my college apps wonderland tour.
