thanks!!

So I went through undergrad admissions too long ago to be helpful, but I was a debater, myself. Are you a Lexington kid?

2nd best public...I believe that is Wellesley (according to the 2004 issue of Boston magazine).

Yeah, but Lexington is the only debate program that comes to mind.

manchester actually. lexington kids are our rivals though (as were like 2 seconds away from eachother and are at ALL the same tournaments) im glad to say we own them on a general basis lol.

and i was definitely told we were the best public in Mass after boston latin

edit: here's the link http://www.massnews.com/2006_editions/5_May/51606_mass_schools_do_poorly_newsweek.htm

we're after boston Latin MA.

Oh, Manchester... I do think I ran into a couple kids of yours once or twice. Were you a policy kid? (I was involved with lincoln-douglas).

ha at manchester its a requirement to do policy as a frosh and then you can do what you want to afterwards. so yes, regrettably i had to debate how many different ways each side's plan could lead to nuclear war. <all policy comes down to lol/

i did mostly PFD my sophomore year( which is what i got to TOCs in, but gah surgery made me unable to go), which is what manchester generally specializes in. we sent 2 teams to nationals this year and one team got 58th the other got 6th. pretttty cool. lol yea and i did LD mostly this year which im sufficiently awful at for the most part. i break to like octofinals then lose lol. but anyyyyyway!!! chances anyone!?

What's PFD?? They have a TOC (the TOC, right? In Lexington, Kentucky?) in it?

Haha - sorry I couldn't be more helpful about chances. But I really loved debate.

pfd = public forum debate. it's only become really nationwide recently because of our coach (mr averill) gunning for it for the past 234567 years. and ya they have a TOC for it. and yes, in lexington kentucky lol. check victory briefs youll probably find me in there somewhere although it was for '05. what school did you debate for/ when'd you graduate? we might've crossed paths at some point as i did some ld as sophomore as well (doubled up at princeton and yale) and also did V at harvard

Oh, Tim Averill. I feel like he might have judged me at some point.

I'm much too old to have crossed paths with you (Lincoln Douglas, CPS, class of 2002).

yea our coach is kind of a household name-- except hes leaving us this year!! i wouldn't doubt that he judged you as hes been in the game for quite some time.
