How hard is it to get an 800 on the French SAT II? (both w/ and w/o listening)

If you're not a native, it's really difficult.

is it harder than the AP test? when are the test dates for the French SAT 2 (I didnt' even know there was one)?

i already took the AP test and got a 3, how do you think I'd do on the SAT 2. BTW, I'm a francophone...so I hope it's NOT really difficult.

i'm not a native french but i took an ap french class this year and got a 5 on the ap and 750 on sat ii

i thought the ap was very diff from the sat ii
sat ii had a lot of vocab that i didn't know and that you as a francophone should have a better chance with maybe?

wait drsarah is native not the original poster

nevermind

yeah, i'm good with vocab...what are the different components of the test?

are you serious bumblebee? i got a 750 on the sat but a 3 on the ap haha

I'm not a native speaker, and I got a 780 (reading). Vocab is what makes the SATII hard- or not. It's very random, so on a given day you might know all of the words, or you might know none. So studying vocab- esp in context- is key. My AP French teacher made us find French articles online and define words in context, and a few actually turned up on my exam. Since it's impossible to know every word that could appear and it's not simple vocab, there is a luck factor to it.

uh, yeah, my AP teacher didn't do **** to help us prepare. grr..
