How hard is the French SAT II w/o listening? I'm just starting to learn French, and plan on taking it in the fall. I picked up Spanish really fast, so I feel pretty confident. So approximately what level of classes would you have to take to do really well, (700+)?

I'd say French IV or French Language AP.

Alright thanks.

No problem :)

Do you guys think it would make sense to take the French SAT II twice, once at the end of French 4, and once at the end of French AP? This year I'm in level 4, and I wouldn't mind getting a feel for the test... (and also, if I by some miracle got an 800, I wouldn't have to worry about taking it next year!)

Would that be worth it, or just a waste of time/money?

Well, do you think that you can get a good score on the test the first time around? If not, then you might as well wait.

I really don't know. I've always been able to easily get As in French, but I don't know how indicative that is of my ability to score well on the SAT II...

You can try taking some practice tests, and see how you do. I'm pretty sure that if you study hard, you will be able to do well on French SAT II at your French IV level.

Ok... I'll think about it. Thanks :)

No problem
