Another Freshman Schedule

another one of those helps needed for scheduling.

what do u think:
Engineering 10
Ind Engineering 24 (freshman seminar)
asian american studies r2a (R&C requirement)
Math 53 or Math 1b

my calso is next week!!!

too easy, what major are you?

take physics 7a,chem 1a, or another technical also

sounds good so far.

uhm, is your math class based on how well you do on the calc BC test? or are you asking which one to take?

flumoxed: i’m taking physics 7a over summer

killthefifi: i’m pretty sure i got a 4 on the bc test so i’m not exactly sure as to which one to take

Don’t start with Math 53. 5 on BC doesn’t really mean much. Math at Cal is no cakewalk. If I were you, I’d take Math 1a or Math 1b if you’re up for a challenge.

go straight for 1B!
only a 5 on BC gets your out of that. =[

how far exactly is stanley hall from moffit as in can i get to moffit from stanley if i schedule classes right after one another?

15-16 units your first semester is expected for CoE, I believe

because i’m taking 4 units of physics 7a over the summer, do u think i should have a lighter load during fall semester or add another class for more units?

I would add another course

what class do u recommend i add, like a decal class, or more classes towards my major???

another major course or another breadth course.

so for example, 2 english classes wouldn’t be overkill.

also, what would be the benefits of taking a decal class besides it being fun i guess?

bump bump bump

Don’t take R&C your first semester.

why not, i need to get the A requirement done for R&C?

plus, because i have an extra space in my schedule, i was wondering if it was a good idea to take two english classes or just have an easy schedule my first year?

E10 and the seminar will be easy, so you only have 2 classes with any real work.

I would add another technical class. Remember you can always drop a class if your workload is hard.

does anyone know of a good class to take from the A list for R&C?

I think your current schedule is good. It is better to start off with an easy schedule and good grades than a harder schedule and mediocre grades. Keep your schedule as it is and enjoy your freshman year

i was thinking of adding another class but an easy one, maybe a decal but what are the benefits of taking a decal besides it being fun (it doesn’t fulfill breadth or technical classes)?
