Another "How's my schedule?"

Haha, anyway.

Is this schedule doable and/or beneficial for a prospective Economics major?

ECON 001 - Intro to Economics (4 units) (fulfills SBS breadth)
MATH 016A - Analytic Geometry and Calculus (3 units)
NUSCTX 010 - Human Nutrition (3 units) (fulfills BS breadth)
PHILOS 012A - Logic (4 units) (fulfills PV breadth)

Total: 14 units (too little?)

Coming from a high school with 7 classes, it feels weird only signing up for 4. But what do you guys think? Is there anything wrong with my schedule?

I'm going to the first CalSO, so I need to know ASAP! :)

I think this is a perfect freshman schedule. 14 units is virtually the same as 15, don’t even sweat about that. And I like how you have two econ pre-reqs coupled with two breadth/easy courses. I say change nothing.

BTW, I took Philos 12A (although with Fitelson). I’ve heard good things about Mancosu. The class is pretty easy if you’re good at math/reasoning/logic.

Yup, perfect for your first semester.

It is a decent load, you should try a seminar and/or DeCal also

great schedule! (don’t add anything else to it…)

i hate decals! omg. i would want to take them in the beginning… then when you’re like crap why the heck did i sign up for this crap… when getting finals time. theres finals for decals too and its just a waste of time. meh.

I would take Math 1A in place of 16A if you’re an economics major. A stronger calculus foundation can help. Also, if you already have taken calculus in high school, I’d consider Stats 134 – statistics is useful for people majoring in economics too. A background in stats will enable you to get to other interesting things.
