another LSAC GPA calculation question

Does anyone know how LSAC calculates grades for courses taken over the summer - both for courses that appear on ones transcript and those that don't? For example, I did a summer study abroad that gave me 4 courses worth of credit, but my school only allowed me to transfer 2 courses worth of credit from summer study. Despite getting As in all 4 classes, the two they accepted appear on my transcript as Pass. I have two questions: 1. Will LSAC include the grades from this summer studying in calculating my GPA? 2. Will LSAC include just the grades that appear on the transcript or all 4 grades I received?

I checked on the LSAC website for this information, but I couldn't find any information on this. Thanks!

I believe they calculate every college course you have ever taken, whether they were accepted for credit or not. If they are not on a 4.0 scale, they will convert them. If your current school only put Pass on them they will proberbly get the actual grades from the school you took them at. Hope that helps.

Thank you. That does help a lot.

When they say the average GPA at Yale is 3.86 do they mean 3.86 on a strict 4.0 scale or 3.86 on a 4.33 scale with A+ being 4.33?

It's a 4.33 scale, but a large segment of those who get into Yale went to schools that don't offer A+'s.

and speaking of calculations, if someone takes the LSAT twice, and the schools average the two scores, do they round up or round down? In other words, if someone gets a 133 and a 136, is the score 134 or 135? (and I just used that number to clarify my question, obviously)
