My daughter is a Lyman Briggs major, as well as in the honors college. She is on FB trying to find a roommate. Wondering if a non-LB honors kid can room with a LB honors kid? Are there specific LB rooms in Holmes? I know there are Honors floors in Holmes…are all those kids in LB? Can a LB kid live on a regular Honors floor…not associated to LB? The problem is she has found a good fit, but the other girl is not in LB. Hope this makes sense.
My S is a James Madison major (another residential college) and in the Honors College, but he hasn’t committed yet–still in the decision process… Anyway, when he was at Madison Days, they told the students that they could room with other majors, but had to live in Case Hall (home for James Madison College). I assume it would be the same with LB.
It may be a bit trickier on the Honors floor, depending on how many LB majors want the Honors floor–if the Honors floor is full with LB majors, she may need to choose a different floor or go with a LB roommate.
I’m hoping that if S chooses MSU, the Honors floor at Case isnt full by the time he makes his decision because he wants honors housing, too. Way back in the day, I was on the Honors floor at Case as an engineering major, and my roommate was a Madison major.
