Another NAPS question :)

I know it's still early in the post-nomination to appointment waiting/process.

I could not find an answer to these questions:
Who is eligible for NAPS (other than what I read on the NAPS site)?

More specifically, if one has a nomination and is 3 qual'd but does not receive an appointment by May 1st, is that candidate automatically eligible to attend NAPS?

If not eligible or actually eligible, does that require an application, etc. to NAPS?

I do know that going from NAPS to the USNA requires the full application and nomination process again. But what about the NAPS admission if turned down at USNA?

Anybody have a link that answers the questions?

Thanks

Go Navy Beat Army ...
Oh, that's right.
Navy(10-4) beat Army(5-7) by a score of 17-3.

Candidates are automatically reviewed by the Admissions Board concurrent with their USNA qualification. Only those found scholastically unqualified for USNA will be considered for NAPS. No further application is required. Also, no nomination is required for NAPS.
