in addition to the sports, i have been an altar server for over 5 years, which is twice a month. i volunteer helping children with special needs play sports and i was captain of my summer softball team last year. i joined NHS and plan on volunteering regularly at a local nursing home this summer. i joined composting club this year, and will stay in it for the rest of high school. i am also going to join republican club and community service club. i live in Massachusetts if that is of any importance. i took the PSATs in the fall and scored in the 89th percentile overall.

i haven’t taken the sats yet. i am a rising junior. last fall, i took the psats and didn’t too that well- i was in the 89th percentile, but my scores were all in the 60s. i also received the alg2/trig award my freshman year, and two summa cum laude awards for doing well on the national latin exams.

also, does anyone have any recommendations for sat prep books? vocab especially; i’m mostly worried about the critical reading section. thanks!

Hmmm well for the SATs… best thing to get is the collegeboard official book. and for vocab I’ve got a GREAT book!! it’s called “Hot words for the SAT” by Linda Carnevale. awesome awesome awesome

chill you have all summer and fall after junior year to stress
hit tons of AP’s prep HARD for tests bc an APP means nothing if they throw it away after dimissing you by your test scores
Notre Dame doesnt consider writing section so this mean study like double for CR & Math

being catholic they also like to see leadership & service hours
so continue racking those up
TEST SCORES only get them to read your app EC’S & Subjective info (essay ect.) set you apart and hopefully above others

still being younger i encourage you to research research research on your own until you become an authority on college matters yourself
