Another question about FAFSA

So as we all know, the 2014 tax returns haven’t been reported yet, and I just learned that you can still submit your FAFSA and later on you can update the tax returns. Is this true?
I’d just like to check to make sure, since it sounds a bit odd because usually when something is submitted, you aren’t given the chance to change anything in the application. I guess FAFSA is different…
Thanks!

Yes, you can submit FAFSA wifh your best estimate. After you file tax return, you need to verify your entry. However, they will still use your original submission date as reference for funding priority.

You can correct the FAFSA at a later date (but you can’t change the amounts of assets). Did you indicate ‘will file’ tax return?
