Another question about transfers in general...

I know this depends on the school, but I was a music major for all of my Freshman year. I am now about to become a Sophomore, and want to re-declare as a Business major.

If I apply for a transfer to another university into their Business school with primarily music classes (with the exception of some general education classes), albeit with a strong GPA, will it hurt my chances?

I'm not specifically referring to any school in particular - just in general. Say, my GPA alone was high enough to be competitive in the school if that were the only factor (which it obviously isn't).

Though your GPA alone may be enough to compete with incoming transfers who have already completed prerequisite business courses, applying for enrollment into business programs without having completed business classes will usually bode unfavorably.

To make it easier, think about applying as ‘undecided’ because universities admit more undergraduates that are undecided than they will to specific colleges within the universities themselves.
