In this position, would it be a good idea to transfer?

Currently I have completed my second year of college with a few credits shy of junior status. I have decided on my major as accounting. At my current school, one must apply to the business college and supposedly the accounting program is very competitive. If I stay at my current school I will have to complete the prerequisites for applying to the business school next semester and apply at the end if the semester. in my opinion since my gpa is not quite there yet, in order to be even in the running for being accepted I would need a 4.0 gpa next semester.
Or on the chance I do not get in I can choose a different business major and apply to accounting the following semester.
Option 2 would be, transfer to a school closer to home which shouldn't be a problem because my current school (michigan state university) is harder to get Into than the other two (university of michigan dearborn and Wayne state). Then just declare my major as accounting. I have to do some more research however I do believe that these two other schools offer a Business Administration major with a concentration in accounting whereas my current school offers it as a major. Supposedly MSU has a top 10 accounting program also.

Should I just wait it out and hope for the best when applying to my schools business college? Or save myself the stress and transfer.
Another reason why I really would like to transfer is because I really prefer to be at home and it's getting to me lately. I mean I can just stick it out for another 2 years, however the issue above kind of changes thing.

What do you all think?
