another should i retake thread

dont bash me for being stupid cuz altho i have a high gpa and such, i just suck when it comes to taking tests.
in october i took the SAT's for the first time and i got
CR: 490
M: 500
W: 480 (8 on the essay)
1470

in november (with basically no preparation either other than reviewing basic math concepts...)
CR: 480
M: 580
W: 610 (wont find out what i got on the essay till Dec 1.)
1670

my CR should have been much higher considering i do read alot and have read 7 novels for English class this year. on the math i fealt pretty confident in what i was doing but during the test i kept going back to count how many i knew i got right, how many i think i got right, and how many i omitted to find out my raw score instead of using that energy somewhere else. i just wanted to crack 1200, yes 1200. if i take it again this saturday on standby, do you think its possible if i actually prep for it everyday up until the night before?

yea you should deff retake if you feel you didnt get the score you deserve. Thats what im doing, planning on prepping this week as well.

It is extremely unlikely you'll crack 1200, since your CR actually went down between the first and second time you took the test. There isn't enough time to prep for the CR to increase the score substantially. The CR is the hardest to prep for.

Try the ACT....Take a few practice exams first.....

Don't worry, This is the second I am gonna take it. My Reading Section is only 460, lower than you. My Writing is much better, I get 750, You can consider to retake it again.
