Hi,

Does anyone know if I have a better chance of transferring to Stanford if I apply as a Freshman/Sophomore/Junior (in college)..?

Also, how much does Stanford value high school grades and SATs for transfer applicants?

Thank you!!!

Getting in depends on your entire application and the number of seats available. To have the best chance, you have to have good grades, test scores, teacher recommendations, ECs and something unique about you, as well as many available seats.

The more you are in college, the less your high school grades matter. If you are a sophomore and are applying to start as a junior at Stanford, then your high school grades do not matter too much. If you are a freshman applying to be a sophomore at Stanford, then HS grades carry a lot more weight.

Okay, thank you so much for the information! :)
