Answer to All "What Courses to Enroll In?

I recommend using this website:

http://ls-orientation.berkeley.edu/intro.html

Go through the online academic orienteering; it will inform you about university requirements and informaton on your selected majors. It also helps in selecting courses.

Make sure you have your CalNET ID first.

Heck, I didn't even get this stuff. I got dropped off like a new born babe in the woods. O.O

Hahahaha. I used it last year before going to CalSO. It helped in selecting course since it already notes whether you have fulfilled R&C and stuff and generates a list of classes to take. And it'll let you put a schedule together too.

Thats only for letters and science. Is there anything that could help me plan out classes for engineering.

When I applied, I applied under pre-business but, on this site, the only major closest to that is Economics. What major do I select?

"Thats only for letters and science. Is there anything that could help me plan out classes for engineering."

BUMP!

A lot of the economics classes coincide with business, go to Haas website and read up on what they require and intermingle the two together. Just get ready to work your butt off in economics.

The CoE have various typical schedules for students. Find it on their website, or someone post it here.

I found the advising thing to be kind of lackluster. not only do they not have the ELW thing updated to include the fact that a 680 on the NEW sat writing section takes care of that requirement, but they recommended that I take bio 1a, which as far as I know isnt even available to freshmen.

I figured out what classes to take based on this forum, and then went there and selected majors so that I could make a class schedule that I wanted, already with classes in mind. I have no desire to major in history, but I had to select it so that I could print a page that has a history class on it.

Please please please send an email to the webmaster about this. They are responsive people who care, and they want to make things better for students. Your doing this may be one of the quickest ways it will improve!

thats not a bad idea, ill do that

try this for engineering: http://www.coe.berkeley.edu/current_students/advising05-06.pdf#search='breadth%20classes%20for%20college%2%200of%20engineering%20berkeley'
