Hello! I need your help on deciding how to tackle a UC Transfer Application prompt. My career goal is to become an accountant (CPA). I am applying to the following UC campuses (these campuses have many firms that recruit on campus):
- Business Administration B.A. at UCI, offers minor in accounting
- Business Economics at UCLA, offers minor in accounting
- Economics & Accounting B.A. at UCSB
- Business Administration B.S. at UCR, offers concentration in accounting
The prompt is: Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university.
If my UC Transfer Application asks this prompt, how should I answer to encompass all three types of majors? Instead of specifying the major, could I relate to how my intended major and the program offered at the UC would help me toward my career goals?
I run into this issue: If I wrote Business Administration, UCI and UCR would find that their campus offers it. But other campuses would clearly see that this major isn’t offered at their campus - and vice versa for other majors like Economics & Accounting and Business Economics. This sounds silly of me to ask, but I’d appreciate your help.
