Anthro 2AC is making me W T F

Did everyone receive a grade for Anthro 2AC? My grade does not look right at all, and I'm hoping it's a clerical mistake.

Yeah i saw my grades too. Don’t think mine was a mistake thougb, although it was slightly lower than expected. Disappointjng but oh well

Anthro 2AC can end up being brutal at the end. I went into the final with a solid A when I took it back in Spring '04 and ended up with a B+. I emailed my GSI, I was told I did very well, but the curve was so high, I ended up getting an equivalent to like a B- on the final. I was totally O.O

My grade was lower than expected too

what grades did yu guys end up with

wow… i’m actually kinda happy with mine… i was expecting much lower…

Well, all components of my course grade (midterm, essay, section attendance) were definitely far above passing, yet my final grade does not reflect this. I would be okay with a grade “lower than what I expected,” but this is pretty much a ■■■■■ up.

Check with an instructor in early January if it’s completely off. They may have made a mistake entering the grade, though that rarely happens. However, even if they do change it, there will be annotation on your transcript.

The exact same thing happened to me. I emailed Wilkie asking about it, you should too.

What section were you guys in?

i suggest you should check with instructor to make sure its not a clerical error, for one class last year, i received lower than expected and didn’t care enough to question it, 9 months later i decided to question it (only because my gpa was sooo bad relative to my peers and i was desperately looking for ways to boost it up) and it turns out it was a clerical error, so i got it changed but now there is a funky asterisk on the left of my grade saying instructor grade change and the date it was changed

I emailed my GSI, and she got back to me last night. Turns out there is a systematic error with grade entries. I ended up with something several grade points higher than what BearFacts reports.

This probably means some of you with insanely low grades should either email your GSIs or Wilkie to get it sorted out…or you can just wait it out, because the staff should be working on it anyway.

iconnu:

i hope you are right about BearFacts having problems for my sanity’s sake…it would have been nice if they had sent out an official email saying this so we wouldnt freak out

man my gpa is s hi.t right now after this semester

Verbatim from my GSI (I really hope she doesn’t mind me posting this): “There seems to be something messed up with the entering the grades.”

Anyone know if this is just for Anthro that Bearfacts messed up for, or multiple classes?

Hopefully there was an error with mine but my grade was above a pass :)
