hey guys,
i was just surfing around on some threads on some of the other colleges' forums. some kid on the harvard thread started the "anti-hook" thread, in which people posted factors that may hurt their chances of getting in (as opposed to listing accomplishments). based on what these kids had to say, its a huge anxiety reliever, knowing that other people are in the same boat as you are.
anyway, im applying ED to columbia and have been really nervous.
ill start us off:

my SAT score in math falls far below columbia standards: 650.
i took three SAT II's, and my SAT score in history was a 690.

Middle-class South Asian dude from New York with low SAT scores and with the biggest "EC" being a job even though a job isn't an EC and who is not in honor society and whose greatest award was a varsity excellence award even though he is not nearly good enough to play a sport in college and whose second biggest award is the high honor roll, even though that is not even an award, and whose third biggest award is AP scholar, even though he did miserably on the AP exams.

Well, my statistics aren't too shabby; however, I did have a discipline incident that I had to report :

Thankfully, it wasn't academic-related (cheating, failing, etc.) nor did it happen in my own high school yet I'm worried about how it would be detrimental to my overall app
