Anticipated admission rate drops for Class of 2021

According to Barnhill, 22,207 students applied early for the fall enrollment and 13,000 were accepted. He expects another 20,000 applications by the second Jan. 18 deadline. From that additional 20,000 applications, he expects to accept about 4,000. Barnhill warned the second wave of applicants might be in for a tough response.

This is important to remember.

A lot of posters here seem to consider the December decision date to be the early decision date when that really isn’t the case: December is pretty much the regular decision date and March is basically the ancillary acceptance date to fill in any opening that FSU may have (while being a very smaller second chance for students).

Looks like FSU’s overall acceptance rate is going to drop into the 40s, if that’s the case.
