how do you guys feel about it? i just want this year to be over so i know where i'm going and everything....are you prepared for the waiting game to find out where im going? i have trouble waiting 20 days for sat scores to come out i cant even imagine having to wait like 4 months to find out where ill be spending the next 4 years of my life

Hmmm, yeah I remember my senior year [granted it ended only about a month and a half ago but w/e] and yeah it's a stressful period but once you pass january 1st all the weight is lifted off your shoulders because you know there's very little left to do. Though waiting for April 1st was by far the most serious and stressful time though luckily we weren't learning much in school so we actually had time to stress about it, but yeah, finally when April 1st came everybody forgot about their stress [though generally everyone got accepted to their first choice, so yeah lucky for us] but seriously, after April 1st, make sure to make some good memories because the next two and half months disappear so quickly and then the tears start to be shed. But yeah, senior year was easily one of the best years of my life thus far, so just celebrate and really don't worry too much about college, if you're supposed to go to your top choice then it's supposed to happen, if not then oh well you'll go to a top 50 college [gasp] sorry had to say that, but yeah seriously don't stress too much, just have fun and relive the memories.

I'm not too worried, I have my colleges ready(none are reaches so it's not like i'll have horrible disappointment), and i'm expecting only a few classes. The main anxieties I have are going to be the new teachers, classes and the work I will need to find.

im afraid that i've turned into too much of a slacker. i'm taking some hard classes and i'm scared that i'll be unable to concentrate/perform well.
i'm not stressed about the college search thing. i'm pretty happy with where i stand.
my social life is pretty good too, so no worries there. i'm just mostly scared about how i'll do in my classes. my ADD has gotten really bad.

I'm taking all hard classes too so I certainly hope my mind stays focused and alert. I'm pretty stressed already about the college thing, the writing essays stuff, the keeping up my grades thing, and ,most of all, the scholarship thing.

Well, just mostly the scholarship thing. If I don't get money my parents are going to be disappointed so I don't want that to happen. I just want senior year to go smoothly.

I'm not too worried about senior year. It's going to be a blast, even with the hell of college applications. I've only got 5 classes senior year, so it'll be a short and quick day.

Yeah my schedule gets progressively easier as the day goes on. My Junior year was hella tight (yeah college app process) so its hard to imagine my Senior year better, so we'll see what happens.

That's one of the reasons why I'm applying ED, hardly any waiting involved!

I'm going to enjoy my year. :D

I'm concerned about getting a prom date...

and about getting 2100+ when I retake my SAT...

and getting 700+ on my SAT II's...

And getting straight A's, which I NEED for Dartmouth, Brown, Amherst and Northwestern...

and my college essays...

and my research project...

and not getting expelled (AHHH!)...

and of course, PROM DATE!

But I think it'll be a fun year.

yeah i've been getting nervous about college stuff and basically just getting older is really scary for me. like my best friend's brother just graduated from princeton and i remember when he had just gotten in and he was so excited.. and now he's like working and everything. it's crazy.
and my school is such a nice little bubble of like 200 girls, i used to be so anxious to get out of it (i've been at it since 7th grade) but now i'm like ahh i want to be a sophmore or something again.
and i just wish i knew that the college thing was going to be okay and that i'll get into acceptable colleges and won't be terribly disappointed.

so yeah im pretty nervous about everything.

hey unwritten you seem kind of familiar, what state do you live in?

NJ

10 char

I'm concerned about getting a good prom dress or possibly designing one for myself, my senior courseload, getting an acceptable ACT score, getting into atleast one of the colleges on my list, scholarship applications, college applications, dance comapny, and my social life. At the same time I'm excited to be a senior, and I know that after first semester...it will be easy sailing all the way to graduation.

It seems like Senior year will be a piece of cake compared to Junior year. I'm taking 5 APs Junior year and probably only 3 senior year. Also no standardized testing discounting the AP exams.

My year will consist of attempted test prep, sleeping in pointless classes, struggling my way through beginning band (silly UC/CSU requirements :( ), offcampus lunches, endless college admission stress, trying to avoid car accidents (some people just aren't meant to drive), homecoming/toga day/spirit week/etc, waiting around for the collegekids to come back for christmas, prom, waiting around for the collegekids to come back in late may, graduation, and finally getting off this island. :)

August 28th can't come soon enough.

I'm getting really nervous. I watched a lot of my friends go through the whole process last year and I was like "oh, its still a year away." But now, everything seems so real and nerve-wracking. I'm taking really hard classes, so I'm kinda nervous about that too but maybe it will distract me ;) I'm very bad at waiting and hopefully applying EA.

collective scream, y'all.....ready? 1, 2, 3.........AAAAAAAH

AHHHHH%@^#@%$&!^$&!$%!*&

yup...i'm surprised everyone is thinking about their prom dresses and dates already! I think my senior year's gonna be tough with loads of IB courses, but i know i'll get thru it...i'm in a marching band this year and we're going to the disney trip end of december, spending the new year with the band kids is a hella lotta fun ;]

ahh im so excited i get to spend this new years with my (non-swimming) friends !! we always had a mandatory training trip from the day after xmas till jan2/jan3 so i was always across the country for new yrs eve and it sucked but since i quit swimming i get to be home this yr! yess
