I probably shouldn't be doing these dumb chance threads, but I'm just anxious. Also, I'm bored as a second semester senior. =p

Are you serious? Looks to me like your just bragging about your credentials. We both know you are a good applicant and you have a good chance of getting in.

^That. If you didn’t make it I’d be surprised.

Sorry, sorry, I just had a couple people on other forums tell me I’m “just a subpar” candidate. I guess I should not have taken that too seriously. I’m very sorry, I was not trying to brag. =( I can definitely see how you could have taken it that way.

It’s not possible to take both calc ab and bc in one year. The AP test, that is.

If you take the AP Calculus BC Test, like I did, you get an AB sub-score since there is AB material on the test. There is both BC and AB material on the BC exam, whereas, of course, just AB material on the AB exam. Notice how I said “AP Calculus AB subscore” not “AP Calculus AB score.”

By the way, this may be unrelated, this is not a ■■■■■ post.

But they do give you the AB subscore when you take the BC test, like he said.

Posting at the same time. Good luck.

O.o i know you aren’t a ■■■■■… i just thought you made a mistake or something o.o and I was confused about how you could possibly yake two APs at the same time…

But yeah good luck, you probably made it, esp because of that insane GPA. How you managed to do that… (no sarcasm, so don’t accuse me
of calling anyone a ■■■■■)

Haha, thanks. Sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. Good luck as well.

Based off your courses and weighted gpa, our schools have similar grading scales. 4.76 gpa and I’m 14th out of ~550 :(

Holy c**p how many weighted do you guys have to take???

i wouldn’t say you are an average applicant but i wouldn’t say you have a great chance like some of these other posters either. The RD competition is ridiculous (with an acceptance rate in the 12% range). it’s tough to stick out and frankly it’s out of your hands now. Go out and stop stressing over chances on this forum by asking peers that have no idea. I tutored some high ranking students (including the Salutatorian of Los Gatos high in NorCal last year who got rejected with from JHU but ended up at UCLA and the Valedictorian of another Norcal school that ended up at Cornell CALS but rejected at a bunch of other schools including JHU) with better numerical stats than you. Be happy if you get in, but remain cautious in the meantime and don’t get your hopes up for any singular school only to be let down hard later.

^Yeah agreed Blah. Its just the anxiety. Gonna go out and play some tennis. No more of these stupid chance threads.
