my essay is 543 words long. is that acceptable or do i write a shorter one?

That should be fine! Good luck!

it's the 19th!!!!!!! Hopefully, they're sending the letters out today.

I hope so. This is becoming nerve-racking

Me too...applied EDI...so nervous...

i just called the admission office, they told me that the "letters went out on Saturday." Sooooooo.... we might get our letters today!

omg... this is it... i will definitely get the letter today... i have been having so many dreams about getting the letter lately... some were good and some were bad.

i wish you all good luck!

I got my letter, but it was neither an acceptance/rejection. The letter was trying to convince me to apply there, and was dated on Dec. 6th... that's about 20 days after ALL my materials went in. Quite concerned about this... Hopefully, this is just a part of automated propaganda.

I got that letter like last Thursday or so. It scared me so badly when I found it in my mailbox... I thought I was rejected/deferred for a second. They probably sent that to everyone on their mailing list automatically. If you sent in your materials already, MHC should have sent you a letter with a list of materials you sent in for confirmation. I received that letter about a week after I sent my application.

My D received that letter last week. Today she received her acceptance letter. Good luck to everyone who has applied ED. You should hear in the next day or two.

Alan: Congrats to your D!!!!!! and thanks for the info.
crazyparadisev: thanks. I got the confirmation letter a week after i sent my app. as well.

Thanks. Has anyone else heard from MHC?

yea... they sent the deferral letters out on monday and i got one on tuesday.... my friend got one too... sigh

Sorry to hear that, but hang in there. With a 52% acceptance rate there is still hope

accepted as an international!

That's great. The international atmosphere and wonderful diversity is what drew my D to MHC

Alan - Congrats to your D! (My D. has been stranded in the Cincinnati Airport for 30 hours with a MHC junior from Bellingham - we get to pick her up finally in two hours.

Thanks, Mini. The snow storm created havoc. Hope your D made it home safely. A Smith and MHC student together in Cincinnati for 30 hours - I wish they could have recorded their conversation. Great holdiay

Yeah, the weather here in Ohio is awful, I just got my power (and heat) back after 36 hours.

My daughter was also admitted ED and is very excited. We live in So. Cal. Alan and MercurialGirl (and other admitted students), where are you from?
