<p>Today must have been a big acceptance day, because I got in too! Undecided major. Updated both online and a packet in the mail (though, when I first saw the online one, I read Mont Alto by accident and almost cried). I can give my stats if you guys want.</p>

After discussing it with him, I called admissions and asked them to if it was possible to change the application at this time. The woman was very helpful. She said that it can still be changed to summer as first alternate. We did that and I now feel 1000% better because I believe his chances of getting in to UP either in fall or summer are pretty good. It is far and away his first choice (I think that's what happens when your kids have been wearing PSU stuff since they came out of the womb!) so I'm hoping he gets good news. She told me they are sending out a mass e-mail next week saying that applicants who applied before November 30 will be hearing by the end of January.</p>
<p>i have an 85 average and a 1320 outta 1600 and a 1940 outta 2400 on my sat and i still havent heard. i applied in early october to u park...what do u think my chances are?</p>
<p>I have a 3.7 uw anda 4.1 w. SAT scores are 1950. I have a variety of extracurriculars including a couple of clubs for 4 years, field hockey for 4 years, and editor in cheif of my school newspaper. I'm in 3 honors societies and am out of state.

<p>i have yet to hear, but my friend who just came back from psu said there was a rumor up there that they accepted to many people, and now mostly everyone from hear on out will be denied. He said as much as he wants me up there, the rumor is something everyone knows about. i have a 3.72 and a 1510/2400 with a crap load of EC's and volunteer, applied summer, in state, and education major, so hopefully im qualifyed even though my SATs arent the best</p>

<p>That totally must be a real rumor. Our h.s. accepts a load of kids to Penn State every year and we haven't heard about a single person being accepted to summer at this point. Don't worry collegekid5 there is still time. My son is waiting with a 4.23/1720 for DUS.</p>

and if it is ture then thats really not fair, they havent even gone through all of EA yet and they accepted to many people? thats makes no sense and hopefully its not true.</p>

<p>I applied a month ago..I know its a little later than everyone else, but a few of my friends have gotten in and its killing me!!</p>
<p>My daughter applied the first week of September. I know she is borderline, so it is not surprising that it is taking this long. At this point, she has resigned herself to not hearing until the end of January. However, it is tough to wait this long.</p>
