<p>We hear that the top Ivies are "need-blind" for internationals. But is there any advantage in not applying for FA?</p>
<p>You might think, and could possibly argue, that if a college saw two apps that had identical scores/GPA's/EC's, it would pick the app that can pay on his or her own, assuming there is only one spot available. Then again, colleges have millions and millions of dollars stored in a financial aid budget where they try and give as much of it as possible to incoming freshman, so I definitely think that colleges really WANT you to apply for FA and get the money that they're assigned to give out.</p>
